Celebrating the Season?
Make substance safety a part of the plan.

As we head into the holidays, this campaign encourages community care and substance safety by reminding people to look out for one another, avoid mixing substances, and seek help when something feels wrong. It emphasizes that quick action saves lives and highlights local Marin resources available for confidential support and emergency response.
Watch out for loved ones
Stick together, don’t consume alone, and get help if something feels wrong.
Never Use Alone Hotline: 800-484-3731 or 877-696-1996.
Avoid mixing substances
Stick to one at a time and know your limits. Be aware of what you are using.
Fentanyl test strips are FREE at various locations around Marin.
Look out for warning signs
Overdoses and alcohol poisoning have similar symptoms. These could
include: unconsciousness / unresponsiveness, irregular or no breathing, and
confusion / disorientation.
Don’t hesitate to call for help
If someone is in trouble, step in and call 911 or a trusted adult. Quick action can save a life, and the Good Samaritan laws have your back.
Have Naloxone on hand
Naloxone (NARCAN®) can reverse an opioid overdose. Keep it accessible and know how to use it to save lives.
