The Six Conditions of Systems of Change Within Prevention

February 12 @ 10:00 am 11:30 am

Enhancing Prevention Efforts:
Prevention Application Community of Practice

Overview:

Prevention Application Community of Practice spaces will support the continuing education of prevention professionals in a manner that is engaging, focused on skill building, dynamic, and in line with statewide goals. Together we will “unpack” what has been learned in professional competency training events, thus supporting the application of skills and development of sector partnerships and networking. Prevention Application spaces are intended to be a collective learning space with reflection opportunities for participants.

February Topic

As the field of prevention expands and emerging professionals enter the workforce, there is an opportunity to examine our prevention-driven systems of change. In this presentation, participants will be walked through the Six Conditions of Systems Change model and discuss where transformative (implicit), relational (semi-explicit), and structural change (explicit) occur and impact our prevention efforts. By understanding these conditions—vision, leadership, resources, partnerships, learning and feedback, and community engagement—attendees will be equipped to navigate complex challenges and foster sustainable change within their organizations and communities. Through practical examples and collective engagement, this session offers valuable strategies for effectively implementing and sustaining systems change initiatives in the prevention landscape.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are not eligible for the Prevention Pathways Community of Practice sessions.
