Volunteers Needed for 988 Video Campaign
Apply by November 21st!

Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) is creating a series of short videos to raise awareness and promote 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, for TAY/teen youth. We invite you to share your voice and help shape these important messages. You may choose to participate in one or more of the following themes:
1. Know the Signs
Help educate your peers on recognizing the warning signs of suicide—like changes in mood, sleep, or behavior.
Prompt ideas: “I knew something was off when…” or “One sign to watch for is…”
2. Ask. Listen. Connect.
Show what compassion and connection look like in real life—asking how someone’s doing, listening without judgment, and connecting them to help.
We may film brief skits, dialogues, or testimonials showing these actions in practice.
3. 988: What You Need to Know
988 is more than a crisis line—it’s a lifeline for anyone struggling with mental health, substance use, or emotional distress.
Share your experience using or recommending 988 or help spread key facts and myths to bust.
4. Lethal Means Safety
Safe storage of firearms, medications, or substances can save lives. This video will highlight simple steps to make homes safer when someone is in distress.
